Drabbles
"...Ya really haven't ever had chicken pox before, Kudou?" The Osakan inquired, clearly surprised by the small red blisters covering his small friend.
"Conan." Sherlock corrected absently, standing off to the side and over seeing the the brief examination of the uncomfortable shrunken teenager.
"Of course not. Dad thought that if I was going to get, it was better to get the full dose and develop the immunity but Ran's parents had her vaccinated and I didn't hang around anyone else." Conan stated, scratching irritably at his blisters until John's hand stopped him.
"Just be thankful it's nothing worse." He told the smaller. "Definitely chicken pox." He finally diagnosed. "Shouldn't be too bad-you'll keep getting blisters for the next few days but they'll go away so long as you- Don't. Scratch." He caught the boy in the act. Conan just slowly lowered his arm. "Right. Well, until that fever's gone I'm afraid you'll have to stay in. No School, no going out, and no cases."
"What?!" Conan immediately protested.
"Really John, That seems a bit extreme." Sherlock cut in.
"No. No, we don't want it to spread." John was unmoved. "And anyway, I think he can go two weeks staying home-it'll be over before you know it."
"He might've died of boredom in that time." Sherlock stated, probably not serious.
"Besides, what about the cases he just happens t' be aroun' for?" Hattori asked, shooting Conan a sly grin which the other returned with a glare.
"He's supposed to stay in so he shouldn't be 'happening' upon any cases, not unless the next door neighbor just so happens to-" He was suddenly cut off by a sharp, shrill scream from somewhere in the outside hall.
